Ottawa entrepreneur and media personality Mark Sutcliffe set a personal running best Tuesday, with a 50-kilometre trek around the capital to raise funds for the United Way.
Sutcliffe, co-chair of the United Way Ottawa campaign, Sutcliffe pledged earlier this month to run one kilometre for every $1,000 he raises, and he set a goal of 50 kilometres run next Tuesday, the longest single run he’s ever done.
He was greeted by the public and joined by local celebrities along the route. As of mid-afternoon, the final dollar tally had not been released.
