Ottawa – City Hall will be the first stop in the official FIFA Women’s World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, a two-month, 12-city tour across Canada, which leads up to the tournament in June.
The tour begins on Wednesday, April 1, from 4 to 9 p.m. on Marion Dewar Plaza, just outside City Hall (110 Laurier Avenue West). The trophy will make its debut in what promises to be an unforgettable experience to share with friends and family. Residents and visitors will have two more days to experience the excitement, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4.
Festivities will include soccer freestylers, photos with the official FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy, Shueme the mascot and much more. Visitors can even try their luck against the Ultimate Goalie, a robot goalie that tests shooting accuracy.
More information is available at coca-cola.ca/trophytour, along with a link to reserve free tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime event. Visitors to City Hall can also take in the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame (open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.), the Karsh-Masson Gallery (open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and the Barbara Ann Scott Gallery (open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.), all free of charge.
