Two people are charged with firearms and drug related offences after the Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit executed a search warrant on March 26.
As a result of the search at the 400 block of Cambridge Street South, two handguns with ammunition and about 250 grams of cocaine were seized.
Police said no one was home at the time of the search warrant execution, and that the residence was uninhabited and being used to store drugs and firearms.
On April 2, police, with the assistance of DART, arrested and charged two people:

- Mohammed Hisham Shabib, 28, of Ottawa, is charged with several firearms and drug related offences as well as breach of probation. He will appear in court April 3.
- Victoria Buwalda-Auguste, 20, of Ottawa, is charged with several firearms and drug related offences. She will also appear in court April 3.
