Even though it hasn’t been officially announced, Saks Fifth Avenue will open one of its popular “Off 5th” outlet stores in the city’s west end in the coming months.
News about the opening slipped on social media early Thursday morning.
It was confirmed by a posting on the Tanger Outlet Malls home page confirming that the upscale retailer will soon be occupying suite 750, the largest space available, at the northeast end of the mall.
Saks has been making inroads into Canada since it acquired Hudson’s Bay Co. in 2013. The company plans to open the first of as many as 25 Off 5th stores across Canada in the coming months, along with the first two of as many as seven Saks full-line luxury department stores in various urban centres.
