Police are investigating after an envelope containing powder was discovered at the Canada Council for the Arts office on Elgin Street Thursday.
One floor of the building at 150 Elgin St. was evacuated after police were called at 10:07 a.m.
The Ottawa police-RCMP joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) unit and the Ottawa Fire Services haz-mat team were called to investigate the powder.
One man was assessed by paramedics but was not taken to the hospital.
