An elderly couple in L’Ange-Gardien was assaulted in a home invasion and theft early Thursday.
Several suspects broke into the residence of a couple, aged 82 and 83. After assaulting the couple, they stole belongings and ran off.
When the suspects left the scene, the home owner was able to get help at a neighbour’s house.
Martin Fournel, a spokesperson for the MRC Collines-de-l’Outaouais police service said crimes like this are a “violation of privacy.
“In this particular case, it was not random,” said Fournel.
Investigators have determined that the suspects are French speaking. Investigators are asking anyone who saw a vehicle circulating or parked on River Road between midnight and 1 a.m. Thursday morning, or in the days preceding the incident, to contact Sgt.-Det. Gabriel Ladoucer at 1-877-459-2422.
