Military police at Garrison Petawawa took a soldier into custody early Monday morning following an incident involving a weapon.
According to base spokesman Cpt. Jeremy Mathews, the soldier — a base housing resident — did not fire the weapon but “was seen” brandishing it.
Police are still investigating.
It is against regulations for serving members to take military weapons home.
