One person was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a pet-filled house on Brockington Crescent in Nepean Tuesday afternoon.
The fire broke out at around 1:15 p.m. in a two-storey house on Brockington near Abitibi Crescent.
At least one woman was treated for smoke inhalation and firefighters were able to rescue a cat and a dog from the house.
The fire was brought under control within about 15 minutes and firefighters returned to try to retrieve a box of pet snakes that had been left inside.
Brockington is near the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Medhurst Drive.
