An investigation is to resume today into what police believe was a “random” stabbing incident near Carling Avenue that left a young man in hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Ritchie Street.
According to reports, the victim, in his 20s, did not know his attacker, and robbery was apparently not the motive.
Police say the victim is co-operating.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
