Gatineau has issued a boil water advisory for its residents for Thursday May 7.
It’ll be in effect from 4 a.m until repairs on a watermain are completed.
The repairs are expected to be completed sometime early in the day, said the notice, but added that the city will advise residents when the water is safe.
The advisory warns that there will be a significant drop in water pressure during this time.
Water should be held at a rolling boiled for at least one minute, then cooled before drinking, and the city urges residents to reduce their consumption.
