我正准备申请加拿大公民,有一栏是曾用名(OTHER NAMES USED)。请问如何填写这栏。如填写,需要什么文件支持吗?
谢谢

You may just fill "N/A" (Not applicable)

For most situations, people do not change names and N/A should be filled in. For women, they may change surnames after marriage, so their new names are different than the old names in the old passports and landing papers. Some people change names after they change religious status. For name changes, support documentatons are necessary, e.g. marraige license. You may get this answer from the guide which is always mailed to you after you apply for the receipt/form from CIC. You may also download it from web site of CIC.

The problem is that: Except for surname, normally Chinese given name contains two words. Spelling Chinese given name in English may separate as two word (e.g. in landing paper), but in Chinese pingying, the given name is spelled as one word (in passport or birth certificate).
have to indicate this difference?
Thanks

I don't think it's necessary.

Just use the name as shown in our passport/landing paper/birth certificate.

So you still do not need to change name.

我给cic打电话 得到两个不同的答案
一个是不
一个是可以递交申请,但要附上RRP.

看来他们也不清楚呀

看来还是应该博一博,好歹可以省1年时间呀

:)
