Ottawa – Tickets are now available for the Mayor’s Canada Day Celebration for Seniors, which will take place on Wednesday, July 1 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Returning to the Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne Park for the first time since 2012, this sponsored event includes breakfast, served until 10:30 a.m., as well as door prizes and live entertainment. Please note that there is no reserved seating, and tickets are required for entry. They can be picked up free of charge at the following Ottawa Public Library locations:
Please call the appropriate library branch or 3-1-1 for hours of operation, or visit biblioottawalibrary.ca.
There is a limit of two tickets per person. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
A limited number of VIP tickets are also available to couples celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary in 2015. These tickets are available by calling the City of Ottawa at 613-580-2424, extension 25683.
While the Mayor’s Canada Day Celebration for Seniors has always been a popular event, the Mayor has been unable to host the celebration for the last two years due to construction at Lansdowne. The celebration returns this year with the anticipated participation of 2,500 seniors from communities across Ottawa. For additional information about the event, call 3-1-1 or visit ottawa.ca.
