Forty-one year old Ottawa resident Michael Andreyechen has been charged with three counts of child pornography possession.
The Ottawa Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) received information from the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Co-ordination Centre in March about an Ottawa-based suspect who had uploaded child pornography on two separate dates through his Google email account.
A search warrant, executed in an apartment in the 200 block of Bronson Avenue on Friday, led to the seizure of several computers, external hard drives and a pinhole camera. The items are currently undergoing forensic analysis.
Andreyechen is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Saturday.
