Ottawa – Mayor Jim Watson and members of City Council will proclaim AccessAbility Day in Ottawa and kick off a day of consultations and presentations that will inform the City’s new multi-year (2016-2020) accessibility plan.
Date: Friday, May 29
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Registration and Resource Fair start at 9:30 a.m.
Official Opening Ceremony – Andrew Haydon Hall (Council Chambers), from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Consultations and presentations scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Location: City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West
AccessAbility Day in Ottawa is an annual assembly of stakeholders, experts, advocates, and residents of all abilities who support and share an interest in accessibility. The theme of this year’s conference is Accessibility for all, and the program will include presentations on accessible design, seek feedback on pedestrian and cycling initiatives, consult on playgrounds and play spaces and provide training on the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
