Ottawa firefighters battled a blaze that engulfed a garage in Ottawa’s rural west end Wednesday evening.
Multiple 911 calls reported a fire at a detached garage at 1195 Upper Dwyer Hill Road around 8 p.m.
When firefighters arrived at the scene the garage was completely in flames, which were spreading to a woodpile and nearby trees.
The fire also destroyed a truck that was inside the garage.
Crews had the blaze under control by 8:18 p.m.
There was no damage to the house, which was about 60 metres away.
Firefighters pegged the damages to the garage and the truck at about $60,000.
No one was home at the time. Ottawa Fire was unable to determine the cause.
