A man has died after a single vehicle accident on Saturday in an area popular with summer cottagers.
The Sûreté du Québec said a man in his 50s was found unconscious at about 8:30 p.m. under an all-terrain vehicle on Chemin Cawood, in the municipality of Alleyn-de-Cawood, about an hour and a half north west of Ottawa.
The man was taken to hospital in critical condition where he later died.
It was not immediately clear if the ATV was upright or had rolled over onto the driver, whose city of residence and name have not been released.
The road was closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation.
