An 82-year-old man is dead after being struck by a taxi Tuesday night.
Gatineau police confirm that around 9:30 p.m. the man was crossing Saint-Joseph Boulevard at the intersection with Riel Boulevard when the car turned right and hit him. The man died shortly after midnight in hospital.
The boulevard was open Wednesday morning.
Police say the investigation is ongoing but speed was not a factor.
The man’s name was not released by police.
