A 29-year-old man who was stabbed multiple times along a west-end bike path on Sunday afternoon is refusing to co-operate with police.
A spokesman for Ottawa Police Service told the Citizen Monday that the man’s refusal to co-operate likely means that the stabbing was targeted and not random.
The stabbing victim was wounded on his left arm, abdomen, chest and the left side of his face.
According to police, his injuries were not serious.
Police, who are not officially releasing the man’s name, continue to investigate the attack near Holly Acres Road and Aero Drive, just north of the Queensway.
Anyone with information is asked to contact West District investigators at 613-236-1222, ext. 2666.
