HRV and air conditioning

HRV is for bring fresh air into the house without open the windows. I heard builders will charge 1500 to 2500 for it. Does air conditioner have such function? Does furnace have this function when heating in winter?
Anyone knows how much it'll cost from independent company? which kind company sell it? the company who installs air conditioners?

Would you pay 1500 to 2500 for a equipment, which just saves you from opening your windows?
Shouldn't you still need cooling or heating system for the FRESH air a HRV bring into your house?
I just don't get it.
Are you interested in bring in fresh air at -30 degrees all the time into your house instead of recirculate and heat up the warm air in your house?
Or, Is HRV an air refreshing system?

The real question probably is, how much it saves the energy cost for you.
Or, how many years you need to save back that $1,500 - $2,500.

I have friends buy R2000 house, there energy cost somewhat higher then
ours... (we live in same area, and both of us sort of in same living
style)

俺家冬天室温设在18-20度，夏天24-28，温差越小，recover的意义就越低，还是不适合俺家这种情况的。:blink:

俺觉得，从长远考虑，独立大屋还是节省能源消费的(房子越大，跟室外温差越高，节省越多)。
