Ottawa police search Rideau River for possible drowning victim

Ottawa police were scouring the Rideau River Wednesday night for someone who had “possibly” drowned earlier in the day.
Three police cars with flashing lights were stationed on both sides of the Rideau river near the half-finished Somerset footbridge and Strathcona Park while police slowly cruised the river back and fourth.
