Ottawa –The 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay arrives in Ottawa on Tuesday, June 30. The relay will journey through the streets of Ottawa, and will make a brief stop at the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame at City Hall.
Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor Jody Mitic, Ottawa Sports Commissioner, and Dave Best, Chair of the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame, will welcome Ottawa’s torch bearer, Hervé Lord.
Date: Tuesday, June 30
Time: 2:35 to 2:45 p.m.
Photo opportunity at 2:40 p.m.
Location: Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame
Ottawa City Hall – Heritage Building (Elgin Street entrance)
Following the visit to the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame, the torch relay will proceed down Elgin Street to Sparks Street where a community celebration will be held from 2 to 4 p.m.
The torch relay arrived in Canada on May 30 and will make its final stop on July 10 at the opening ceremony of the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games.
