Camera Interface Design
DescriptionThe following is intended to provide a job description for our Camera Interface Designer as well as a description of key attributes that will distinguish a successful candidate for this position.
Job Description
A Camera Designer (Hardware Design Engineer) is responsible for the successful requirements analysis, technical specification, detailed design, implementation, and assessment of camera interfaces, including CCD interfaces, optical assessment and design, high speed pixel data processing (i.e. Correlated Double Sampling at 40MHz), low-noise analog design, A/D conversion and high speed digital design (40MHz), and low-noise switching power supply design. The camera designer will also be responsible for the documentation of camera production processes and should be able to maintain ongoing production documentation. The Camera Interface Designer reports to the Program Manager. The Camera Interface Designer is measured against the ability to successfully plan and implement CCD camera designs within the specified performance, financial, and time constraints.
Successful Candidate
A successful candidate for the position of Camera Designer (Hardware Design Engineer) will be able to demonstrate:
・ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Master’s preferred).
・ Technical capabilities in the areas outlined above demonstrated through industry experience in low-noise analog design, high speed digital design (40MHz), optics, image pixel processing (40MHz), and low-noise switching power supply design. Preferred experience in design and implementation of a high-speed CCD camera used in imaging at 30 frames per second.
・ Familiarity with volume production of cameras including demonstrated ability to document and maintain designs for production.
・ Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot analog and digital circuits.
・ Experience in documenting system requirements, technical specifications and production documentation, preferably within a ISO9001 approved quality system.
