MRC des Collines police have recovered the body of a 35-year-old man who jumped from a cliff into the Morrison quarry Tuesday afternoon.
The man was reported missing late last night after heading to Morrison’s Quarry, just off highway 105,
Although some areas are posted as off-limits, it is a popular spot for cliff-diving.
The green/blue water of the quarry is said to reach a maximum depth of 139 feet at its deepest point.
The quarry is also home to the Great Canadian Bungee Corp. and is one of the area’s most popular scuba-diving training centres.
Police did not release the identity of the man, nor did they reveal exactly how he died. An investigation into the death is ongoing.
