Ottawa police have confirmed that they’ve made an arrest in a hit and run on Leitrim Road which resulted in the death of a cyclist.
The incident occurred on June 28.
Andy Nevin, a 39-year-old father of two, was cycling from his his new home when he was struck near the intersection of Leitrim and Albion roads just before 6 a.m. Ottawa police had been seeking a late-model white Ford pickup in connection with the death.
The identity of the 39-year-old man being charged has not yet been released.
Police said the suspect is expected to appear in court today.
