Ottawa - Beginning Monday, July 13, lane reductions on Queen Street and Lyon Street will begin to allow for the next phase of construction of the O-Train Confederation Line Lyon Station entrance. Some of the following lane reductions are already in place and some will remain in place into 2016.
Beginning Monday:
Access to businesses, driveways and parking garages will be maintained while work is ongoing. When necessary, pedestrian access to sidewalks and crosswalks will be diverted.
OC Transpo Route 4 will be diverted for two weeks starting Monday, July 13and some bus stops may close. For more information about transit routes, visit octranspo.com.
With all of the construction-related activities underway, residents are encouraged to be flexible with commuting times, stagger work hours or use alternative means for travel. The public is asked to consider options such as transit, walking, cycling or carpooling.
During construction, there will be a greater need for all road users to share the road in a safe manner. When navigating through a detour or a construction area, be cautious and watch out for pedestrians, cyclists and other motorists. Signage along the detour will emphasize the need to slow down and share the road.

- The Lyon Street bike lane will be removed from Sparks to Albert streets and replaced with sharrows.
