Ottawa Fire Services contained a pair of blazes on Sunday afternoon, with no reports of injuries from either fire.
The first fire was at 8 Forbes Ave. in Hazeldean, a two-storey detached home. The fire, which was located in the attic, was reported at 2:22 p.m. and was under control approximately 45 minutes later. The homeowner was evacuated from the home along with their pet birds and dog. They will be displaced from their home.
A second fire, meanwhile, was reported in a recycling shed on Richardson Side Road near Canadian Tire Centre. Ottawa fire had the blaze under control at 2:27 p.m.
Causes had not yet been determined for either fire.
