A 69-year-old man from the Manotick area has died after his motorcycle collided with an SUV near Chesterville on Saturday.
OPP in Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry said Ian Frost of Manotick Station was driving westbound on Cty. Rd. 43 just after 5 p.m. on Saturday when a northbound SUV entered Cty. Rd. 43 from Cty. Rd. 7 and collided with the motorcycle.
Police said Frost was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The SUV’s 45-year-old female driver, from Brooklyn, N.Y., and two young passengers were not injured.
Sections of both roads were closed while police investigated. The OPP said charges were pending.
