A 44-year-old man suffered a broken leg and other injuries after falling off a roof Thursday.
The man was installing shingles on a rooftop on Ryan Drive in Nepean when he fell about five metres to the ground. He was treated for a fractured leg, a shoulder injury and a severe cut to one of his arms.
Co-workers called paramedics at approximately 1:30 p.m. and administered first aid until the paramedics arrived, at which point the man was conscious. The man is in serious but stable condition in hospital.
The incident is being investigated by the Ontario Ministry of Labour.
