Ottawa police have charged a 30-year-old Ottawa man with two counts of sexual interference and two counts of sexual assault in connection with incidents at the Kanata Wave Pool Thursday afternoon.
The Ottawa police sexual assault and child abuse section said the charges involved two young girls and say there could be more victims. According to Ottawa police Const. Chuck Benoit, the alleged sexual assaults occurred in the pool area and were witnessed by several people, who notified pool staff. The children did not know the suspect, Benoit said.
Benoit said the suspect had been at the pool previously and police are concerned there may have been other incidents.
Samuel Lute was to appear in court Friday.
