Environment Canada recommends you keep an eye on the sky if you’re out and about for the next while as conditions are good for the development of severe thunderstorms.
The storms could produce strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain, the agency warns in its T-storm watch.
Environment Canada says a line of thunderstorms associated with a cold front will cross the Ottawa and Gatineau areas, as well as the Petawawa-Pembroke-Cobden areas into this evening.
Some thunderstorms can contain wind gusts to 90 km/h, torrential downpours and occasional hail and frequent lightning.
