Four sent to hospital after early morning rollover on Highway 417

Four people were hospitalized after a rollover on Highway 417 shortly before 3 a.m. on Monday.

The Ottawa Paramedic Service said the vehicle, with five people in it, rolled into the westbound ditch near Anderson Road. Two people in the car were extricated by firefighters. Two others were helped out of the vehicle by firefighters.

The first patient, a 49-year-old man, was in critical condition at hospital with major head and hand trauma.

A 44-year-old woman was in serious, but stable, condition at hospital with head and chest injuries.

A third patient, a 19-year-old man, had minor head injuries and was in stable condition upon arriving at the hospital.

A fourth patient, a seven-year-old girl, had a minor hand injury and was in stable condition upon arriving at the hospital.

The fifth person in the vehicle, a 16-year-old woman, was uninjured.
