The Ottawa police robbery unit has asked public assistance in identifying a suspect in a June 30 robbery in the ByWard Market.
Police are seeking a male suspect who approached a man in the market at around 3 a.m., engaged him in conversation, then told him to empty his pockets and turn over his wallet.
No injuries were reported.
Police say the suspect went to a grocery store in the 2200 block of Bank Street at around 4:20 a.m. where the stolen credit cards were used to purchases.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, in his 20s, with brown hair. He is about five-feet-six-inches (168 cm) tall and about 150 pounds (68 kg).
