Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in locating a suspect in the alleged sex assault of two young girls at Britannia Beach on Monday.
Polcie say the adolescent girls complained they were touched inappropriately while they were wading in the unsupervised area of the the busy west end beach.
The suspect is described as a black man in his mid 20s to early 30s, about five-feet-nine-inches tall with a medium to chubby build. He had short black hair, a square face with chubby cheeks, was unshaven and wore large sunglasses. He also spoke English with a heavy French accent.
He was wearing a black hat, a black T-shirt and black swimming shorts with a red stripe down the leg and a black hat. The suspect spoke English with a heavy French accent.
Investigators are concerned there could be more victims.
