City commemorates National Peacekeepers’ Day on Sunday, August 9

Ottawa – National Peacekeepers’ Day is Sunday, August 9, a day that honours all Canadian peacekeepers who have served or who are currently serving in peacekeeping operations around the world.

The flags at all City of Ottawa sites will be flown at half-mast on Sunday, August 9 from sunrise until sunset to commemorate these courageous and committed men and women.
