Ottawa – The intersection of Brian Coburn Boulevard and Portobello Boulevard will be closed this weekend, starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, August 15.
The closure is required to facilitate construction of the roundabout at the intersection, specifically to complete the installation of the final layer of asphalt pavement and line painting. The intersection will remain closed until Monday, August 17 at 5 a.m.
Detour signage will be in place to guide motorists around the closure. To bypass the intersection along Brian Coburn Boulevard, motorists can use Nantes Street, Aquaview Drive and Esprit Drive in both directions. To bypass the intersection along Portobello Boulevard, motorists can use Aquaview Drive, Esprit Drive, Waterfern Way and Stormwind Avenue in both directions.
A detour will also be in effect for OC Transpo route 130 throughout the closure, using Nantes Street, Aquaview Drive and Esprit Drive in both directions. Details, including location of temporary bus stops, are available at OC Transpo Detours.
Local businesses will remain open as usual during the intersection closure.
