Mayor to proclaim Pride Week in Ottawa to celebrate Pride’s 30th anniversary

Ottawa – Mayor Jim Watson will proclaim Capital Pride Festival Week in the City of Ottawa during a ceremonial flag raising at City Hall.

The City Hall event will be the culmination of a number of ceremonial Pride flag raisings held at various City of Ottawa locations throughout the morning, including police, paramedic, public health, by-law, fire and OC Transpo.

A fleet of colourful Capital Pride cars, with one participating at each of the flag raising locations, will arrive at City Hall at noon.

8:45 to 9:20 a.m.
