Ottawa police are asking for public assistance in locating a suspect in a pharmacy holdup in Orléans last Saturday.
Police said the suspect entered the unidentified drug store in the 1900 block of Portobello Boulevard at about 5 a.m., went directly to the pharmacist’s counter, showed a knife and demanded specific drugs, including the narcotic fentanyl.
After being given some drugs, the suspect fled on a black-and-silver mountain bike.
He is described as Caucasian male, 35-40 years old, with a muscular build and a “weathered” face. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, a baseball cap, beige pants, sunglasses and gloves and carried a black backpack.
Anyone with information is asked to call Ottawa police robbery unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) or by downloading the Ottawa police iOS app.
