Oil and fuel spill on Hwy 417 after trucker hits overpass, snarls traffic

A spill on the eastbound Highway 417 lanes between the Bayshore and Moodie exits occurred after a trucker hit an overpass early Tuesday afternoon and is causing traffic delays.

Emergency crews were removing spills of hydraulic fluid, oil, and fuel from the road way, after a dump truck’s box rose inexplicably in the middle of the highway, hitting the overpass, according to reports.

There were no reported injuries and police were diverting traffic from Highway 416.
