Joyriding at 2 a.m. is a bad idea for kids in their early teens, especially when the vehicle is stolen and the driver can’t keep it right side up.
Gatineau police rescued five young people after a stolen Toyota SUV went off the road and rolled over early Friday.
Then they arrested all five.
Police still aren’t sure how the accident happened. The driver was a 20-year-old man and his four teenaged passengers were aged 13 to 15.
Several of the group were hurt but the injuries were not believed to be severe. Police were still at the hospital at 9 a.m. and the investigation is continuing.
The rollover happened on Chemin Dufresne, in the northeast part of the city.
