A 50-year-old man was arrested Friday evening after a traffic barricade was used to break several windows at the Ottawa police headquarters on Elgin Street.
Police said a man swung the barricade at windows at the entrance of the building at approximately 6 p.m., shattering a few of them in the process.
A man was arrested at the scene on counts of mischief and damage to property, and is due to appear in court Saturday, where he will be formally charged.
The investigation is ongoing and the station will be closed indefinitely.
