Andy Wang is a dynamic, young community leader who is committed to bringing jobs and growth to the new federal riding of Nepean. Andy will be a strong Member of Parliament for Nepean and will represent Nepean’s interests first in the House of Commons.
Andy has lived in Nepean for over 15 years. An IT entrepreneur and non-profit organizer, Andy is an active contributor to Nepean’s business and community life. He established a small business along with a non-profit dance and martial arts school, serving Nepean residents from the very centre of the riding.
Andy knows Nepean and its needs and he knows how to achieve results in Parliament for constituents. For over five years, Andy served on Parliament Hill and at the local constituency office, helping and advising Nepean's constituents on issues with the federal government including matters related to seniors' pensions, immigration, taxation, infrastructure and employment concerns.
Now he wants to put that knowledge to use for you and Nepean.
Andy holds a B.A in Economics and Political Science from McGill University.

More and Better Jobs:
Employment is the tool for Canadians to empower themselves. Andy is focused on providing support to entrepreneurs and small businesses, by cutting red tape and reducing taxes that stunt economic growth in Canada. Job creation allows for more stable, long-term prosperity for Nepean residents. It will help make Nepean an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
Income Independence:
Andy believes that Canadians deserve greater income independence, the ability to determine how to spend their hard-earned money, without higher taxes from the government. This value extends to families, seniors and veterans, all deserving of tax relief. For Andy, the federal government must earn its revenues from higher private sector employment and not higher taxes on Canadians. To meet this objective, Andy will pursue lower taxes for Canadians and fight against policies that raise taxes.
Responsibility:
The federal government has a responsibility to provide quality public services at the lowest possible cost to taxpayers. Andy will focus on ensuring these services are there for the residents of Nepean. Andy believes in fiscal responsibility and government living within its means, just like a family would. Budgets don't balance themselves and the economy does not grow from the heart outwards. Maintaining a balanced budget will be a major focus for Andy, ensuring Canada is free from the risks of deficits and debt.
