The Canadian Border Services Agency advises you check ahead if you’re planning a cross-border trip this long weekend.
Try to cross at off-peak hours, if possible, or check ahead for wait times on the agency’s website or on Twitter.
CBSA is expected heavy traffic at the Thousand Islands Bridge this afternoon and Sunday from 3-5 p.m.
Wait times can be in excess of 30 minutes during these periods.
But the agency says that it doesn’t expect wait times at the Cornwall crossing to be longer than 20 minutes this long weekend.
Remember to keep all travel documents handy know what’s in your vehicle at all times. When returning have receipts ready for any declarations.
