An Ottawa police officer has been charged by MRC des Collines police with impaired driving in an off-duty incident this summer.
According to the OPS, the officer was caught by MRC officers on July 5 after he was involved in an “incident” that led to the charges.
Repeated calls to MRC officials to determine the nature of the incident were not returned Thursday afternoon.
Const. Jarrid Foley, 37, was charged on Wednesday with operating a motor vehicle with a blood/alcohol level above the legal limit.
He has been assigned to administrative duties by the Ottawa Police Service and the Ottawa Police Service standards section has begun an investigation.
