A body was found by Gatineau police about three kilometres west of Chemin du Quai on Friday afternoon.
In a release, police said a 911 call came in shortly after 3 p.m., saying there was a body or human remains along the Ottawa River.
Officers later confirmed it was a body.
Police were unable to say whether or not the body was found ashore or in the water.
Police are investigating.
