More than 500 Facebook users have so far signed up for an online black ribbon campaign in memory of the victims of Tuesday’s killings of three women in the Wilno area.
To edit a Facebook profile picture to include the black ribbon, a Facebook user simply creates an account with PicBadges, which has been used for similar campaigns since 2010, and then adds their name to the memorial for “Wilno Shooting Tragedy Victims.”
The was started by Jaco Bolle a marketing strategist in Pembroke, who runs the Bolle Group.
Basil Joseph Borutski, 57, has been arrested in connection with the killings. He is scheduled to appear in Pembroke court Wednesday afternoon.
