Ottawa –Taverns and Troublemakers, the newest exhibit at the Ottawa Central Archives, will open on Thursday evening with a reception.
Drink in the history of Ottawa’s taverns and explore their battle with the Temperance Movement, the troublemakers who had a different plan for society.
Date: Thursday, October 1
Time: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Location: City of Ottawa Central Archives, James Bartleman Centre, Gallery 112
100 Tallwood Drive.
Taverns and Troublemakers runs until Saturday, March 16, 2016 in Gallery 112. Admission is free.
The Central Archives building is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Sundays and statutory holidays.
