The Elmwood School’s 350 students and teachers dressed in Edwardian costumes and re-enacted 1915 school life on Wednesday, Sept. 30, to celebrate the school’s centennial.
The all-girls’ school in Ottawa opened in 1915 with just four students and has graduated over 5,000 students over the past 100 years.
The school’s centennial festivities also include the launch of a commemorative book on Friday, Oct. 2, and a gala dinner on Saturday, Oct. 3, featuring a Q&A with Margaret Atwood hosted by almna Catherine Clark.
