The Ottawa Police Service has released a warrant for an Ottawa man believed to be involved in an assault on an OC Transpo bus earlier this month.
Videos of the assault were posted on YouTube, prompting a police investigation.
One video showed what appeared to be a heated disagreement between two men who were both riding the bus on route 95 before one repeatedly punched the other in the face. The victim appeared to be sitting calmly at the back of the bus when the other man confronted him.
The video was posted by a third bus passenger who witnessed the attack.
Wanted in connection with the incident is Tyjah Smith, 20, of Ottawa. The suspect is described as a black male, six-feet-two-inches (188 cm) in height, weighing about 198 pounds (90 kg) with short brown hair.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Smith or the assault is asked to call Ottawa police at 613-236-1222, ext. 2666.
