A fire fighter was injured and three people were displaced following an early morning blaze in Manotick on Monday.
At just after 3 a.m., Ottawa fire received a call from the residents of a two-storey home at 1100 West Avenue. According to the 911 call, the home’s back deck had caught fire.
Shortly after arriving on scene, crews declared the blaze a two-alarm fire.
One firefighter suffered burns to an arm before the fire was doused at approximately 4:30 a.m.
Two adults and one child were displaced, but were not injured, Ottawa fire said.
The cause of the fire and an estimate of damages were not immediately available.
