Drivers will want to steer clear of Elgin Street this morning, as it is closed in both directions between Waverley Street and Gladstone Avenue thanks to a broken water main.
Ottawa police said in a release that it will be closed until further notice and that the city has been informed of the break.
OC Transpo also tweeted that routes 5 and 14 will be detoured between Waverley and Somerset. That means the bus stops won’t be in service along Elgin where the road is closed.
Instead, catch the northbound buses at Elgin and McLeod or Elgin and Cooper and the southbound buses at Elgin and Lisgar or Elgin and McLeod.
